The brothers have a combined experience of nearly two decades in the restaurant industry in Belfast and Dublin and have worked with some of Ireland’s best-known restaurateurs.

Daniel Courtney, who is head chef as well as part-owner, said: “Martin and I are very excited to be opening Stix and Stones on Upper Queen Street.”Belfast has such a vibrant restaurant scene featuring respected and established restaurateurs.

“Not only are we delighted to be setting up a business in our home town but we are delighted to be in a position to complement the fantastic Belfast restaurant scene with the world popular ‘steak on a stone’ eating experience.

“To ensure that customers get the full benefit of the stone cooking experience Martin, myself and the staff will be on hand to give any necessary guidance.

“We look forward to providing a top quality service with prices that won’t hurt the pocket.”
