GROGAN'S

Glasson, County Westmeath

Right in the heart of the picturesque village of Glasson lays the charming olde worlde pub and restaurant.

Moira and Miriam Grogan are your hosts and they preside over a wonderfully atmospheric traditional family pub and restaurant.

The entrance though small is miss-leading as you enter your are struck by the character and charm of the bar. The cosy front bar is divided in the tradtional manner and has a lovely open fire, flag floor and a mixture of wood and brass furnishing. As you round the corner to the main restaurant there is another large open fire wide enough to accommodate Santa Claus.

Originally established in 1750 and it feels as if the fundamentals haven’t changed too much since then.

The menu is varied and very good value. Each dish has been imaginatively created; there is a sufficient choice to accommodate all tastes. A good value menu is available from 4pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday, 4pm to 8pm Sunday and bank holiday Mondays.
