CLIFF TOWNHOUSE RESTAURANT

Dublin, County Dublin

At our St Stephen’s Green restaurant, the atmosphere is one of easygoing conviviality sustained by Dubliners dropping in for a relaxed brunch or a dozen oysters and a glass of Champagne pre- or post-theatre. The city’s business community also like the privacy of our dining space, especially the intimate leather-clad booths.

Menus, which are available for brunch, lunch and dinner seven days a week, are overseen by The Cliff Collection’s Executive Chef Martijn Kajuiter, who holds a Michelin Star at our sister property, The Cliff House Hotel in County Waterford. At The Cliff Townhouse, daily operations are looked after by Head Chef Sean Smith.

Serving some of the most honest, well-cooked classics in Dublin, The Cliff Townhouse restaurant menus showcase an intelligent range of dishes to suit both a three-course feast or light bite in the middle of the day. Staples include generous salads, Eggs Benedict, Galway oysters, native lobster, dressed Yawl Bay crab, wild sea trout, posh fish and chips or a 10oz Hereford rib eye steak.

By day our dining room is flooded with light from two tall sash windows. High ceilings and chandeliers both modern and classic add elegance, while on the wood-panelled, corniced walls there are Art Deco-style, scalloped light sconces in antique silver. Large, brass-edged mirrors reflect the sunshine, while the parquet floor speaks of the building’s Georgian past.

The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch from 7am to 2.30pm and evening meals, including and pre- and post-theatre, from 5.15pm until 10.30pm.
