Re-define your interpretation of the traditional Irish country house hotel. Yes, you will find the expected relaxed elegance of its Georgian origins with the original 1830s Irish oak floors, pitched pine window shutters, high ceilings, twinkling chandeliers and crackling turf fires. But this is all mixed with a palette of rich, earthy colours, plenty of natural sunlight streaming in the picture windows, all the modern must haves such as wi-fi, Böse DVD/CD players, chic champagne bar and terrace.
While retaining so many of the original 1830s features and fixtures the rooms and suites at Dunbrody also offer all the comforts of modern living. No two rooms are alike and the exquisite fabrics and furniture are a lovely mix of contemporary and traditional. Interiors are understated with a calming, muted palette of colours which ensure guests really switch off and relax and experience the tranquility and restorative powers of a country retreat. Through the Georgian picture windows, suites and rooms offer peaceful views over the gardens and parkland. Many rooms offer a balcony or garden terrace, some the exposed beams criss-cross the vaulted ceilings, others an original roll top bath. Breakfast is included in nearly all the rates and is served til Noon daily. To really treat yourself why not enjoy a champagne breakfast in bed at Noon and a late check-out? Tucked away from the main hotel, the recently-restored steward′s house offers a perfect accommodation option for families and small groups looking for more independent longer stay perhaps mixed with some self or in-lodge catering. We′re delighted to have the fires ready, extra turf stacked, kitchen stocked and a hamper of Dunbrody goodies to enjoy.

The award-winning restaurant The Harvest Room is less of a hotel dining room and much more of a stylish, atmospheric restaurant. The Harvest Room Restaurant has been the recipient of numerous awards over the past years and regularly features highly in press reviews from both Irish and international travel writers, restaurant reviewers and food critics. Renowned for always featuring home and locally-produced, seasonal ingredients our dishes always reflect the flavours of the seasons. Nothing is over-worked or made to confuse the palate. Emphasis is always on the freshness of the ingredients and the enhancement of them through the simplicity of combinations. ll the ingredients are locally sourced with many of the fruits and vegetables and all of the herbs from our own kitchen & herbs gardens.
